Treatment Process

At Surekill Pest Control, we use a thorough, targeted and integrated approach to Bed Bug infestations. Our licensed technicians combine approved chemical treatments with non-chemical control methods to achieve effective and long-lasting results. Each treatment plan is tailored to the level of infection and the layout of your property.

Residual Spray Treatment

Targeted insecticide treatments are applied to

  • Skirting boards and bed frames

  • Cracks, crevices, and wall junctions

  • Furniture joints and harbourage areas

These residual treatments are designed to eliminate active bed bugs as they emerge from hiding places.

Aerosol & Precision Application

Specialist aerosol products are used for:

  • Hard-to-reach areas

  • Furniture seams and joints

  • Carpet edges and rug perimeters

This helps disrupt bed bug breeding cycles and reduces egg hatch survival.

Professional Bed Bug Steam Treatment

High-temperature steam is applied to:

  • Mattresses and bed bases

  • Upholstered furniture

  • Seams, folds and fabric surfaces

Steam penetrates deep harbourage areas and is highly effective at killing both bed bugs and their eggs without chemical residue.

Room Monitoring System

Discreet monitoring system as the monitoring device is installed near sleeping ares usually at the head of the bed to:

  • Detect ongoing or re-emerging activity

  • Confirm treatment effectiveness

  • Support long-term control and peace of mind.

06

After Treatment

Pest Management Plan

Discuss your next treatment and any other pest concerns with our Technician.  For managing bed bugs effectively, we recommend installing a room monitoring system. This system is ideal for commercial businesses such as accommodation facilities, movie theatres, and airplanes, providing continuous monitoring to ensure early detection and prevention of infestation.

After the Technician has finished the treatment:

  • Avoid Contact - Stay off treated surfaces until they are completely dry.

  • Ventilate - open windows and ventilate rooms before using them again.

How to Keep Bed Bugs Away

Reduce Clutter in Sleeping Areas

Keep bedrooms tidy and minimise clutter around beds to reduce hiding places and make early detection easier.

Regularly Inspect Bedding and Furniture

Check mattress seams, bed frames, bedside tables, and upholstered furniture for signs of bed bugs, especially after travel.

Be Cautious When Travelling

Inspect hotel mattresses and headboards, keep luggage off beds and floors, and wash clothing in hot water immediately after returning home.

Avoid Second-Hand Furniture Without Inspection

Carefully inspect or avoid second-hand mattresses, bed frames, lounges, and soft furnishings before bringing them into your home.

Use Mattress and Pillow Protectors

Encasements help prevent bend bugs from harbouring in mattresses and make detection easier.

Report Early Signs Immediately

If bites or activity are noticed, contact a licensed pest controller promptly. Early intervention prevents spread.
